If you’ve never been to Dozer Day®, an event put together by NUCA, let us paint you a picture—think kids climbing into real bulldozers, the smell of popcorn in the air, hardhats covered in stickers, and grown adults (us included) secretly wishing we could take a turn behind the heavy equipment controls.
Tractics at Dozer Day Kansas City

This year, Tractics had the chance to sponsor Dozer Day Kansas City, and wow—it did not disappoint. Hosted at the Truman Sports Complex on November 1–2, the event brought families, construction companies, and big machines together for a weekend full of hands-on fun and future-building inspiration.

So… what is Dozer Day?

At its core, Dozer Day is about showing kids what construction is really like—up close and hands-on. They’re not just watching—they’re stepping into cabs, pulling levers, and learning directly from the pros who operate this equipment every day.

For many, it’s their first time seeing construction as a potential career path. For others, it’s  a fun day out with family that happens to include a front-end loader.

Tractics: Bringing the fun!

We may not have brought a bulldozer, but we showed up ready to work—with plenty of creativity and community spirit.

Here’s what the Tractics booth added to the mix:

  • Free face-painting — Kids walked away with butterflies, Spiderman, and bulldozers painted on their cheeks. A huge thank you to our face painters at Fun & Fabulous Facepainting. The speed of their creativity left us all impressed.
  • Construction-themed coloring sheets — While waiting for face-painting, kids could sit down and color bulldozers, excavators, and concrete mixers. It gave them something to focus on and gave parents a well-earned breather.
  • Hardhat sticker handouts — A fan favorite. As kids moved through the event, they collected stickers from different booths to decorate their hardhats. Ours were Tractics-branded, construction-themed, and all the kids are future “rock stars” in our book.
  • Volunteer power — Nine Tractics Crew Members pitched in to help run the booth, chat with families, and keep things flowing smoothly. A few even brought their own kids along, turning it into a family affair and making the day extra special.

Why this matters to us.

At Tractics, our work centers on helping contractors simplify their operations—building smarter schedules, managing crews, and replacing outdated systems like spreadsheets and disconnected legacy software. But behind all that technology is a very human mission: supporting the people who actually build things.
